List of Works

SOLID HOLOGRAM (2015) for violin and piano. Composed for Nicola Lolli and Domenico Codispoti on a commission from the Reykjavík Arts Festival 2015.

WINTER (2015) (10’) for voice and electronics. Composed for Jeff Gavett on a commission from the festival Dark Music Days in Reykjavík 2015, with support from the Icelandic national broadcasting service (Tónskáldasjóður  RÚV).

LUSUS NATURAE (2014) (22’30) Mulitmedia project for 3 videos, each with a stereo soundtrack, and additional surround playback,with optional live performances of tenor voice, contra-bassoon, and flute choir. The musical score is a part of an installation that was a collaboration between Thurídur Jónsdóttir and the visual artists Ólöf Nordal and Gunnar Karlsson. The first performance was at Hafnarborg in collaboration with the Reykjavik Arts Festival May-June, 2014.

MISS REYKJAVIK RITA (2014) (7’) concert for orchestra.  Written on a commission romf the festival Dark Music Days in Reykjavík, with support from the Icelandic national broadcasting service (Tónskáldasjóði RÚV). Premiered by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra on the festival Dark Music Days in Harpa 2014.      

MEETING (2013) for percussion and harp, written in collaboration with the composer Atli Ingólfsson for Duo Harpverk.  It was premiered by the duo in the Nordic house in Reykjavík in December 2013.

INNI (2012) (10’) musica da camera for baroque violin and 2-channel electronics. Commission and first performance: Halla Steinunn Stefánsdóttir, Dark Music Days 2012.  Written with support from Hladvarpinn – women cultural fund.

EYJA (ISLAND) (2012) for chamber ensemble.  Commission and first performance: Curious Chamber players, Uzon Center, Aalborg, Denmark 4. Nov. 2012.

JAKABOSSA YOGA (2012) (7') for solo flute, two sounding crowns & audience .  Commission and first performance:  Áshildur Haraldsdóttir, UNM Harpa, Reykjavik, Feb. 2012.

BETTY (2010) music for the radioplay Betty, built on a story by Arnaldur Indridason. 

FLUTTER (2009) (16') for flute, orchestra and field recordings of insects.  Commisioned by the Iceland National Radio for the centenary of Olivier Messiaen.  First performance:  Mario Caroli/Iceland Symphony Orchestra, dir. Rumon Gamba, Háskólabíó, Reykjavik, Feb. 2009.

EBB & DAY BREAK: REPRESENTATION OF BEING (2008) (20') for b.fl. vl.cb + electronics.  Visual installation: Míreya Samper. First performance: "Kvikhljod", Salurinn, Kópavogur, Iceland, March, 2008.

TODAY IT'S EVENING (2007) text by Gudbergur Bergsson for mezzo-soprano and chamber ensemble.  First performance: Ásgerdur Júníusdóttir/Adapter on Crossing Borders, Den Haag, Oct. 2007.

RED CIRCLE (2001) (17') for mixed choir, 3 soloists, speaker and electronics. Texts from the bible, Elio Pagliarani, Kahlil Gibran and Saint-John Perse. Commission of the Reykjavik Cathedral church.  First performance: Nov. 2001.
